Bugs:

Please report them in the comments.

A bug in the game engine stayed untouched. The stacking of weapon-speed bonuses drasticly overpowers dualwielding. This is game-internal and I see only 3 ways to handle this:

1. Create compability patches for every possible case (… is affected by this shout, this and that perk, … then you take this number. … is affected by this perk and not that perk, but the other shout,… take another number….)

So 1. would be a lot of work. No idea, if I could even do this with my skills.

2. Create a mod using this https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/28456 as requirement. This would cause troubles to other users, who possibly don’t want to have this as requirement, because of reasons or because of compatibility problems with other mods.

3. Leave the buggy engine doing its buggy job and only make my new perks (Stinger) compatible with the dual flurry perks.

I chose option 3. The dual flurry perks are untouched, all I did was creating conditions for my Stinger perks to apply correctly. Everything works as it should.

Results in numbers from in-game tests:

WeaponSpeedMult with Stinger rank 1 (5% bonus) is 1.05.

WeaponSpeedMult with Stinger rank 1 (5% bonus) and Dual Flurry rank 1 (20% bonus) is 1.25, when two one-handed weapons are equipped, 1.05 when only one weapon (weapon+shield, weapon+fist, fist+fist, weapon+torch, staff, two-hander …) is equipped.

WeaponSpeedMult with Stinger rank 1 (5% bonus) and Dual Flurry rank 2 (35% bonus) is 1.40, when two one-handed weapons are equipped, 1.05 when only one weapon (weapon+shield, weapon+fist, fist+fist, weapon+torch, staff, two-hander …) is equipped.

WeaponSpeedMult with Stinger rank 2 (10% bonus) is 1.10.

WeaponSpeedMult with Stinger rank 2 (10% bonus) and Dual Flurry rank 1 (20% bonus) is 1.30, when two one-handed weapons are equipped, 1.10 when only one weapon (weapon+shield, weapon+fist, fist+fist, weapon+torch, staff, two-hander …) is equipped.

WeaponSpeedMult with Stinger rank 2 (10% bonus) and Dual Flurry rank 2 (35% bonus) is 1.45, when two one-handed weapons are equipped, 1.10 when only one weapon (weapon+shield, weapon+fist, fist+fist, weapon+torch, staff, two-hander …) is equipped.

The tests were done with various weapon-types, so the stuff is working correct. The trial and error to find the necessary conditions for the spell-effects was a huge time effort, but now it’s working as intended.

Incompabilities:

All mods that alter the Dual Flurry perks weapon-speed-multiplier-modifier or add their own bonuses to weapon speed somehow will cause incorrect weapon speed output, if you play with the Stinger perk from my mod.

As mentioned in the Bugs-section you must be aware, that Skyrim handles weapon speed bonuses in a weird way.

This leads to the fact, that most mods, which give somehow bonuses to weaponspeedmult, like my Stinger perks do, will result in tremendous weaponspeed when combined together. This makes a compability patch for each combination of different mods necessary. You must do this on your own, or look if someone uploaded a compability patch. Another possibility (which I do not use) is this: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/28456

When you descide to use this mod, you definitely will have to change my mod, because I did all calculations and conditions with the vanilla system. Wrong weapon speed output is inevitable if using my mod and other mods that alter dual flurry or add their own weapon-speed-bonuses.

Port to SSE:

I don’t own Special Edition and was never engaged with porting mods, so if someone else wants to port this mod and reupload it, feel free to do so. Just give me credit by mentioning the original mod.

Permissions, edits, reuploads:

You are allowed to edit and reupload this mod anywhere, just mention the original source (this site here) when you do so.

The wiki at creationkit.com was the biggest help.

Reverse engineering of a similar mod (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/11111/ –> this did not handle dual flurry compability at all, in opposition to my mod) and the dual flurry perks’n’stuff.
