Misc Dialogue Edits

From Skyrim Nexus Latest Files

Description

The aim of this mod is simply to improve some dialogue that other mods don’t (as far as I know). Therefore it contains small miscellaneous edits to dialogue topics and takes into account some of the most famous dialogue related mods (Guard Dialogue Overhaul and Relationship Dialogue Overhaul, mainly). Two changes are included:

[*]Do I look like a mage?

Sometimes alchemist vendors and court wizards assume the skills and interests of your character by saying something like “So you’re an alchemist then?“, which can become rather annoying, depending on your character and the amount of roleplay you do while playing.

Well, they bothered me, so I added conditions to those lines to allow vendors to say them only if it looks/seems like the player actually knows a thing or two about the skills they mention (skill level 25+). This will prevent them, for example, to mistake a warrior with mace and shield for someone who wishes “to master the arcane arts“.

    [*]Oh thank you, Narri!

Narri, the wench in Falkreath’s inn, may say “Shor’s bone! A handsome man in Falkreath” to the player. Since she says “man” and it bothered me while playing as an orc, I added conditions to allow her to say that only to Bretons, Imperials, Nords or Redguards (only men, not mer).

Installation

This mod consists of just an ESP, that can be safely merged into others, if you so desire.

Compatibility and load order

This mod doesn’t conflict with Guard Dialogue Overhaul and forwards the necessary edits from Relationship Dialogue Overhaul without requiring it, so it’s safe to use this mod with (or without) both of them and it should be loaded after RDO.

Credits and thanks
